Cardinals Legacy Foundation for Baseball is proud to announce that Jason Hill, principal in the Puxico School System, will be the 2018 Sr Babe Ruth Baseball head coach. Coach Jason Hill last coached high school players in 2012 when he lead the Greenville Bears to their first district baseball championship in 26 years.
Coach Hill grew up in Greenville and played high school baseball and basketball for the Bears. After high school, Coach Hill continued his playing career at College of the Ozarks where he was recruited and signed as a catcher/first baseman from 1997-2001. After obtaining a degree in Sociology and working as a Social Worker for two years, his passion for baseball led him back to Greenville to become head coach of the Bears in 2003. He obtained his Master’s degree and Educational Specialist degree from Arkansas State University.
Coach Hill resides in Greenville with his wife Jordan and their three daughters Gracyn, Charly, and Reecie. When asked about working with high school baseball players again, Coach Hill stated, “I feel very blessed for every opportunity that baseball has given me and a passion for growing baseball players into mature and responsible men.”
Spokesman for the advisory board, Jeff Null of Three Rivers Softball who coached the team during its first two seasons and won 2 state championships and a berth to the 2016 World Series, stated, “Having Coach Hill working with these players is a great asset for the team. He is an outstanding coach and a great role model.”
